"Hi! I am Danielle DeCamp with Intuition Salon and Spa. I am the foot specialist here. And so after we apply our decorative art, we are going to apply a topcoat. And the reason we use top coat is to keep our decorations on and also to protect the nail polish from chipping and that helps it to stay on there longer. Now if you are using crystals, gems or decals you want to put a little bit more over the top of those so that they stay on better and you also want to actually apply the topcoat first and then stick them on top of your topcoat so that they are sealed on top and bottom. So after you do that you are going to want to go over the top of them, really, really well with the topcoat. And just so that you know topcoat is just a clear coat of polish and just like your decorations, your base coat and your nail polish color you want to apply this to the entire nail. Even if you can’t see, it really does make a difference and that is how you apply topcoat."
