"Hi, I am Danielle DeCamp with Intuition Salon and Spa. I am the footcare specialist here. The next step in our procedure is to exfoliate. Exfoliating takes away the dead skin and also takes away the calluses and smooths the feet. So I have already had my client put her feet back into the water. I am going to have her remove her right foot for me. I am going to take my foot file or you can use a pumice stone whatever you prefer and I have already got my sole out, my sole’s scrub. I am going to put her on my file, I am going to pick up her foot and I am going to start scrubbing. Now what you want to do is go kind of in a kind of back and forth motion. You want to be pretty aggressive with this, unless you are hurting the client they will let you know. So you want to really get in to the heels and you want to go up to the top of the foot. I am going to lower her foot a little bit and what you want to do is grab it, scrub the top, underneath the toes and make sure you go on the side of the feet. That is really good and also on the other side and I would go back over just a couple of times to make sure you got everything off. And then I would take it… take the scrub that is already on your hands and lightly rub it over their feet. Now don’t take the pumice stone or the file over the top of their feet. That could hurt a little bit too much or just go ahead and rub that hence we get a little bit exfoliation on the top of their feet and some of that nice oil. I am going to have her stick her foot back in there. Now make sure you rinse it off for them before you move on to the next foot and I am going to have her remove her left foot for me and I am going to repeat the same procedure and that is exfoliating."
