Shaping the Toe Nails in a Home Pedicure

" Hi, I am Danielle DeCamp with Intuition Salon and Spa. I am the foot care specialist here. Now what we are going to do is take care of the nails. I have already clipped all the cuticles and I have actually already put the nail oil on the nails. The next thing that I am going to do is ask her if she wants them to be trimmed. Are you happy with the length of your nails… Her nails are actually not too bad. So what I am going to do is go through and take my file and I am going to go ahead and file all the nails. Now do you want them squared. Yes. Okay. So we are going to make them square shaped and don’t be afraid to get in there. I am just going to go ahead and shape the nails for her. And the next thing that I am going to do is take my nail implement and make sure that I clean out underneath all of her toenails. You don’t want to leave any dirt down in there and I am also going to do it around, get off all that stuff that I took off before. Now the next thing that I am going to do is buff the nails, make them nice and smooth for her and this is where also the nail oil comes in really well because this just helps to have them glide on there, so it is now just dry and scratching the nails, is actually helping them. And depending on the nails, the strength of their own nails, you can also use medium, fine or coarse buffers and I am using a medium, which is probably the most common one that you want to use."
