" Hi! My name is Dawn Shannon for Expert Village, owner of Intuition Salon and Spa and I’m also a hairstylist, you can visit us on the web at www.intuitionsalonandspa.com. I’m now going to demonstrate with my notching shears how to remove bulk and create a more choppy blunt effect. I’m going to start in the back and work my way up, now in the back I’m doing a lot more texturizing because she wants some more shape back here but she doesn’t want it too, too short and this helps contribute to the shaping. Now especially up in this area you want to be very careful not to get too close up into here or you’ll get big pieces sticking up and if you wanted more texture up there you could do that with your scissors which we’ll be covering next. And that’s how we can go about using the notching shears to remove bulk which you can also do on lots of different lengths of hair and different styles."

on 12/16/2008 THANKS GREAT VIDEOS. I SEE THERE IS A SECTION ON CORRECTLY PARTING HAIR, I PRAY, PLEASE THAT IT TELLS WOMEN TO STOP, STOP PARTING THEIR HAIR IN THE MIDDLE. NO MATTER HOW MANY IDIOTS LIKE MADONNA AND GWYN PALTROW PART THEIR HAIR IN THE MIDDLE IT DOES NOT LOOK GOOD ON THEM OR ANY ONE, AND LASTLY IT DOES NOT MAKE ONE LOOK YOUNGER. UNLESS YOUR SEVEN IT MIGHT.
