How to Apply Hair Color to the Roots

"My name is Dawn Shannon owner of Intuition Salon and Spa. So now I have applied the color to the ends, I am going to start from the front, and I am going to apply it to the re-growth. You want to be very careful not to miss any spots when you do this, so I am going to go ahead and apply and then I am going to check through and make sure that I did not miss any areas and then I am going to let it process for ten minutes. It is very important in doing this technique that you really stay on your timing and you apply your color quickly. So we are going to start from the front doing her hairline, making sure that we cover the whole hairline. When you are lightening someone’s hair, you also want to keep in mind the color of their eyebrows and whether that is going to match their hair color. If they need to lighten their eyebrows, you will also want to do an additional consultation on that. The particular color that I am using is safe to put on highlights, other color products you really want to make sure, because most of them would color the highlights and this particular one does not. And that is how you apply the color to the re-growth area."
