" Hello! My name is Denise Robinson, and on the behalf of expertvillage.com I am here to talk about consignment shops and garage sales. In this segment we are going to talk about jewelry. Jewelry is probably one of the easiest things to find because you can… if you do not mind wearing cheap jewelry, it does not matter, you can repair jewelry if it is broken, or if you’re handy with little small tools, you can take one piece of jewelry and another piece of jewelry and create something totally different. This incident, I found a brass large bangle, now when I found it, it was totally black, and I thought it looked disgusting; but when I go out antiquing or thrift shopping, I normally look for jewelry first, I carry a soft rag with me. What I did is I rubbed it really hard, then I saw underneath that it was hammered style, which has like little indentations all the way through it, and it came really shiny. The brass was not damaged too bad, so I said I’ll give it a try. I paid $5 for it. You can find jewelry like that in garage sales and consignment shops. Probably the best thing to find them is in garage sales, because a lot of times the buyer just wants to unload their stuff. So they might have like a little basket full of jewelry, and sometimes they do not realize what they put in that basket, maybe one of their kids threw something in there they wasn’t supposed to. But if you look through things, whether it is a consignment shop or garage sale you might find some."
