"Hello. I'm Donna Beth Joy Shapiro on behalf of ExpertVillage.com, and today I'm going to show you how to iron a dress. ...this inside. That would work for most of the dress, but it would not work on the color as it is corduroy on both sides. So, this dress is a perfect candidate for steaming. It's a casual dress. It's going to respond really well to the steam. The dress is going to look a whole lot better after just a few minutes. I'm just going to steam this side of the garment. You can see the difference. My hand was too close; you can really get a third degree burn from a steamer. Again, a steamer should never be left unattended; never used around children or pets. And you should certainly never steam a garment while it is on your body or anybody else's. It's funny; you see that in the directions that come with the steamer. They repeat it a number of times. I think people don't realize that steam can burn you as much as fire. So, just a few minutes of steam and those nice fibers are relaxing and the wrinkles are falling out of this dress. Corduroy is the type of material that you probably just put it on and wear it. I would think that I would not want to go out of the house in a dress that is quite as wrinkled. While you are wearing it, the wrinkles will fall out, but I definitely would not go out of the house with a dress where the collar looked like that. If you like, spend a little time on the sleeves. I don't think it's really necessary. I would just make sure that the part of the garment that is around my face looks good. I think you can easily see the difference between the two sides of this garment; certainly on the collar, but even on the dress portion. It looks pretty good. I'm just going to do the other side and it's ready to go. Thanks for watching. "
