"Hello, I'm Donna Beth Joy Shapiro on behalf of ExpertVillage.com and today I'm going to show you how to iron a shirt. In this clip, we are going to talk about ironing the yoke of a man's shirt. You want to turn the shirt inside out because it is double layered fabric. You want to iron the inside layer first. Spray your starch, make sure that you've got a corner here right at the edge of the board. And if the shirt is not too big, you should be able to get the entire thing flat. It makes it a lot easier to iron. Your goal on the inside is not necessarily to get it completely without wrinkles, but to do the best you can. Again, it's not going to be seen. Take it off, turn it around and try to get that yoke completely flat if you can. If not, you'll have to do one half at a time, and that's fine. Spray your starch and if you have the luxury of time, wait a few seconds and let the starch incorporate into the fabric. If you've got very stubborn wrinkles, you can use your burst of steam if you have it. If you're not using the steam iron, you might want to spray it a little bit. But again, a steam iron is a fabulous invention. If you've never tried the steam feature on your iron, you're not going to be electrocuted. You should give it a try; you will not go back to dry ironing. Thanks for watching. "
