"Hi I am Douglas Willot with Expert Village and today we are going to talk about coordinating your shirt with your tie. Another decision to make when you are coordinating your shirts is your tie pin or your tie clasp or perhaps no pin at all. The tie clasp works where it goes over the top of your tie and underneath the shirt it clasps it together and just keeps your tie from flying around and going crooked. The tie pin works the same way only it is a pin and goes through the tie and connects it underneath the shirt. You want to make sure that you have a tie pin or a tie clasp that is not going to stand out from the rest of the overall outfit. Basic silver is usually good. Basic gold also works. These are the most common colors of the tie clasps and the tie pins. Sometimes if you get a shirt, you can buy tie clasps and tie pins that will coordinate with cuff links if you are wearing a shirt with French cuffs. French cuffs means cuff links connect it instead of a button at the bottom. If you can coordinate all that, it is a very flashy look and it can be fun."
