"Tip number six. The all important, how it interacts with your chemistry. This is probably the most important factor to take into consideration when you're choosing a signature scent. And, this goes for all perfumes. Whether you want to buy a premade designer perfume or if you want to choose your own scents to mix and match and apply depending on your mood or the time of day. It doesn't matter if you like how the perfume smells in the bottle or on the little strip of paper that they give you at the counter to smell it. What matters, is how that perfume changes when you put it on your body. Some people don't know this, but your bodies own chemistry of course has its own scent. Often times, this is totally subliminal and you can't smell it and neither can anybody else. These are called pheromones. When the pheromones of your body mix with the perfume's chemistry in the bottle, sometimes you can end up with a completely different scent entirely. If you're going to know that you're wearing the right scent for you, you have to try it over time. What I recommend, is getting the sample of the perfume you like. Trying it on, smelling it and having a friend smell it too. And, then waiting an hour. After an hour, you should reapply the same scent to the same area of your body. Smell it again and then give it another ten minutes. After that second application period, you're going to have a very good idea of how that perfume interacts with your body. What's important about this is to give yourself enough time to choose the right perfume for you. Perfume buying is not an impulse purchase."
