"Tip number two. Counter samples are a wonderful way to test perfumes on yourself. They're a little bit different than magazine samples. Instead of being sold in a solid state form, they are free and are in a liquid state form. Which is much more similar to how most perfumes are actually sold in a department store. So, you're going to get a more realistic sample. If you go with a counter sample than a magazine sample, they will also last a little bit longer. So, you'll be able to try them over time. This is helpful, because it's very helpful to test perfumes with your own body chemistry over as long a period of time that you can make the sample last. We'll be talking about this more in a little while. Chemistry is a very key point in determining your signature scent. Once you get your counter samples, take as many of them home from as many different brands as you can find that are willing to give you samples. They usually come in a small glass vile. Sometimes, with a stopper or a spray attachment. I recommend trying these samples individually or in concert together if they are from a similar line. And, are meant to be mixed. Trying them singularly is going to give you the best and most discreet version of the perfume is meant to be used."
