"I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. Once you have finished stitching up the majority of your zipper what you're going to do is take a seam riper and actually just going to opening up the center of the seam. What this is going to do is make a little space so you can pull down your zipper head and then finish up the remaining parts of the zipper. So you open it up with your fingers kind of pulling it and gently with the seam riper you just start popping up a little threads coming up. You just want to be really careful that you don't actually get the fabric that you are really popping the threads not pulling any of the fabric. Once you have a big enough opening you can take your little zipper head unpin it and then you can just flip down the little zipper head. Put it back on, re-pin it, open it up a little bit more and now you just simply slide your zipper head down. This way it keeps all the fabric up here nice and smooth and the zipper head is out of the way and we're ready to go and finish the last bits of the zipper."
