"Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel for Expert Village. In this clip, we are going to go over the supplies that you need for making you a really easy fun flare skirt. When you are picking out your fabric you obviously want to go with something that you love. If you are going to do something like plaid or stripes something that has a pattern, you want to make sure to get extra fabric to make sure that the pattern, that you have enough fabric so that the pattern matches up. If you are just going to use a regular type of cotton or something that you don't have to consider that, you can go with a yard and a half of fabric either forty five or sixty inches wide. If you are going to go with a pattern, I suggest you get at least two yards of fabric. In this case, I'm going to be doing corduroy. Corduroy actually has a nap which means that it looks one way and then when you turn it it actually looks a different color. So when you are using a fabric like this or velvet or terry cloth, you want to definitely make sure that when you cut up your pattern pieces you cut them all going the same direction. That way when you sew them together they all match up. The other thing you are going to need is a nine inch or seven inch zipper that matches the fabric, matching thread and also a small little hook and eye closure and you can find these supplies pretty much at any fabric store."
