"Hi, I'm Candi Cane-Canncel with Exert Village. So, in this clip we are going to take our heart pieces and place them on our fabric to cut out. So, I'm using this black and white cotton as my main fabric. So, place it on the fabric and then just simply trace around it. Go ahead and cut it out and when I'm working with two pieces I like to pin them together so when you cut them out your cutting them out perfectly. Especially when it's two kind of small piece and there bit of an awkward shape. Now, you can also can do cut out the fabric the same way you made your pattern by folding it in half. But, I wanted to create a template so I can make many sachets that are similar in sizes to each other. Then we are going to go ahead and cut two hearts out of our little contrasting fabric. Just need a small piece but I want to make sure I get some hearts in here. Then using the same trick I'm just going to pin pieces together. Once I have it trimmed I'm going to go ahead take a pair of scissors called pinking shears that have like a little zigzag edge and I'm just going to go all the way around them just to give a little extra decorative touch. Now, that we have our pattern pieces we are ready to pin them together and then sew."
