"Hi, I'm Casey I'm with Elements University. I'm here on behalf of Expert Village in this segment I'm going to give you a tip on using your sheers on men's haircuts. So now we're at the top part of the head. This is the section that we're going to start using our sheers. The thing that I learned through experience is instead of coming in and cutting straight across like this because what happens when you do that is it goes ahead and leaves a really solid line. It gives you-you can actually see your cut marks in it so what I've picked up from what I learned along the way is I'll actually come through and it's called point cutting, notch cutting whatever you want to call it. All I'm doing is coming in and making Vs. All this is going to do is just add texture and as you can see it's uneven so then when the hair goes to lay down flat it's going to blend right in there verses having that straight solid line that you can see. So this is how I go ahead and cut all my haircuts this way. Stay tune for the next segment when I'm going to show you how to go ahead and cut that middle top section of the haircut."
