" Hello this is Cherie Krieger on behalf of expertvillage.com. We are going to continue on with the upper portion of the legs. We are going to show some stretches. First of all you want to bend the knee carefully bringing the leg up as far as you client can bend it. Then you want to bring up like so and push it towards there chest. These are called unisisted stretches. The client is not helping me stretch. You hold for at least a minute and you could press the leg over to the side. Always being careful of your posture. Gently and slowly putting pressure to make the stretch even deeper. Once again coming out to the side another stretch slowly putting pressure down and bringing it up to do some rotations. It is easy if you hook your leg underneath the back of the knee and support the foot while you are doing so. This helps the hip joint, the glutes, the lower back, and the hamstrings."
