"This is an important exercise that I would like for my men and my women to use right before they start swinging their arms in the catwalk. I want them to do an exercise. This exercise is just with the arms. So you can get back in your basic that I've referred to in other shows, pointing the right toe, pulling it into the left foot, your basic stance, position 1. While you're in this position, I'd like for you to, again, remember perfect posture, stomach muscles in, and swinging the arms up and back with the thumbnails facing forward. While the thumbnails are facing forward I don't want any part of your body moving. Only your arms are swinging. They're not swinging side-to-side like windshield wipers. They're not swinging all over the place or one more than other. Some people have one arm that does all the work. I want you to make sure that they're balanced and equal in the swing. Thumbnails forward, arms up and back and that they both have the same amount of movement - not too fast, not too slow - and notice that my body is not moving. I only want the arms to swing. This creates a lot of balance when you walk. It keeps your bottom from swinging and swishing, going back and forth, which is not pleasant in the catwalk. Nor with the men. I want the men to have just as much grace and smoothness on the ramp as the women do, and the arm swing is very helpful if you can keep the arm swinging up and back without any turning of the knuckles, without any imbalance. Keep them the same. I want you to feel that before you walk because some people's...their entire walk is thrown off by their arms. So I want you to make sure that your arms are in balance, swinging up and back and the body is not moving. Notice my head's not moving, either. Keep the head straight and focused, like we did before. Again, a time to feel confident about yourself because now you're learning how to keep your posture and the perfect arm swing. I'd also like to show you from the arm swing we're going to lead right into the catwalk for men."
