Basic Bra Terminology: Part 2

"Hi, I'm Allison from Fair Frou Frou in Studio City on behalf of Expert Village and today I am going to go over basic bra terminology. Here is another molded cup bra and what we mean by molded cup is simply that it has a thin layer of padding in it so that it gives you a very smooth silhouette. Where something like this that is not a molded cup bra doesn't have that structure and therefore it doesn't hide as much if you will. Like a bra molded cup bra will cover your nipples and give you a more smooth silhouette. And in this bra a little extra feature is that it has a little bitty pad in it and what this pad is called is a cookie. So sometimes you will find a bra with or without cookies and this just gives you a little extra bump, because most people are A-symmetrical and sometimes you might want to wear the little cookie on one side of the bra and not on the other. Lastly we have here is a triangle bra and it is just a regular molded cup triangle. Now what we have here you just see it's just a very thin foam padding just to give it shape and support and it just has no under wire underneath. And it really is a great bra, very comfortable. Sometimes people don't want the under wire. It's a comfort factor. Typically people who have had surgery on their breasts cannot wear under wire for several months so this is the type of bra we recommend. And just so you see here all of these bra styles are plunge where something like this bra is a demi style. And we know it is a demi or balconet style because the bra actually goes straight across. And this is actually very flattering on most people. However, there is also the plunge style. So there's really a few options so you could do the triangle, so there's triangle, there's plunge, there's demi and those are pretty much the basics in bra terminology."
