"Hi! I'm Amelia and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I'll be talking to you about using thermal styling tools. Probably about 5 years ago, you started seeing a new thing come on to the market called Ionic. Anything Ionic. It was the newest rage. I have to be honest, when it first came out I was very skeptical, but I did finally get an Ionic dryer and it made a huge difference. Let me explain exactly what it is. Negative icons have gained an electron and what they do is they assist in breaking up the water molecules. The water molecules that are in your hair, they actually atomize them and break them up and then you hair absorbs them. It really helps create a nice moisture balance in the hair. Instead of like a traditional blow dryer or a traditional iron, it doesn't evaporate the water in the hair. It actually helps your hair absorb the water, so that's a very good thing. Negative icons are good. Positive ions are bag. Positive ions are what can be found in carbon dioxides, smoke, pollution and that type of thing. All of these types of products produce negative ions. Negative icons are supposed to give your body like a very calm relaxed feel. That's why we feel so good when we're around the beach or whenever we're around waterfalls. Breaking water creates the negative icons. These are great tools. They do help the hair dry faster. They do cut down on frizz. They also create great shine and great manageability."
