"Hi! I'm Ameila and on behalf of expertvillage.com, I'll be talking to you about using thermal styling tools. Products that you should use when using any thermal tool is you're going to want something to spray on your hair prior to apply the heat to the heat hair. You can use it wet or dry. It doesn't really matter. They both work great. They also give great hold. If you're experiencing a problem with hold where you'll curl your hair, but by mid day its fallen. You're going to want to look into something like this as well. It'll help give your help support and hold. You're going to always make sure that you spray it on and then apply the heat. Without these, you're going to get those straggly ends. You're going to get breakage and you'll get a lot of frizz. It'll also help your color faster. Just make sure that you always use a thermal protectant whenever using a heat tool. When you're done with the thermal protectants or when you're done using the heat tools, I also recommend using some sort of shine spray. The constant use of heat on the hair will sometimes dull the hair out, so the shine sprays really do help. Make sure they don't have any alcohol in them, or at least a very little amount. You can also spray it on your hand first and then apply it to your hair if you feel like it's too heavy, but it also helps add a little bit more moisture to the hair, add some shine, and some separation. Always make sure that these are the products you have on hand whenever you're using any type of thermal styling tool. "
