Generally, bikinis are two-piece women’s bathing suits. The famous swimwear was developed in 1946 by the combined efforts of an engineer and a fashion designer. Bikinis were named after Bikini Atoll as an advertising ploy: the islands of Bikini Atoll, a cluster of 36 islands in Southeast Asia, housed the first tests of American nuclear weapons, and the bikini designers believed their garment would be as explosive as a bomb! There are many variations of the traditional bikini and many cuts and styles available today. Some of these variations, like the monokini, pubikini, and sling bikini, continue to entice controversy even as the standard bikini has long ago been adopted as quite acceptable. Although no models of the 1940s felt comfortable wearing the suit (which is why its designers were forced to hire an exotic dancer), today bikinis can be found in even conservative wardrobes.

"It's Amy Ellars here in sunny Malibu, California for Expert Village letting you know what kind of swimsuit to wear for your body type. I know everyone comes in different shapes and sizes. I'm just here to help you pick the perfect swimsuit for your body. Right now, I'm going to talk about larger busts. They key to wearing a swimsuit with a large bust is support. You want a swimsuit that's going to support you while you're playing volleyball, out in the water, having fun at the beach, or just even sitting by the pool. A halter is a great top for a large bust. It gives you great support, great structure, and again, it will give you some great sexy cleavage that all women love to have. Some don'ts for a large bust. I have bando top. It is strapless, so it's not going to give you the support you need if you're going to be active. You don't want to be running around and a top falling off. Also, a tri top bikini. A triangular top bikini has little or no support at all as well. The key is to be comfortable in your swimsuit, so enjoy your time at the beach, at your pool, or whatever you're going and just have fun."
