"Hi, this is Andrew on behalf of Expert Village.com. In this next clip I am going to be discussing how to thread a needle before you sew the button onto your pants. Now the first thing you do is you take your thread and you determine how much you are going to need in advance and you want to typically if your thread has been laying around you will have some fibers that are kind of sprawled out wildly on the end of the thread, you just want to clip that off. Typically you want to run it through your mouth a bit to get it wet and get all the fibers going into the same direction. It just makes it a lot easier to thread the needle that way. Then you want to take the needle and thread the thread directly through the eye of it bringing it out the other side and you want to bring this end of the thread all the way down to the end doubling the length of your thread. At that point and time, you can cut the thread and then you want to take the ends of it and tie it off. Typically I tie it about twice. It gives you the strength that it needs to hold up. Now you are ready to use your thread and needle. "
