All Videos In The Series, "Laser Hair Removal"
Laser hair removal has become a popular option for men and women looking to get rid of excess hair on their bodies. During a laser hair removal treatment session, laser energy produces heat in the hair, which is transferred to the hair follicle, which then produces inflammation that sends a signal to the hair follicle to go into the resting phase. It is a precise treatment and takes quite a bit of training for the doctor in order to target only the hair shaft and not damage the surface skin around the hair. Laser hair removal can be painful in some parts of the body, but for most people the benefits outweigh the pain the patient feels. While laser hair removal may not be permanent for some people, about 80% of patients see permanent hair reduction after several sessions.

"Hello! My name is Aneta Filardo owner of Winter Park Laser and Anti-Aging Center and I am here on behalf of Expert Village. In segment one, we will be discussing who is an eligible candidate for laser hair removal. Anyone who has unwanted hair on their face or body, who has dark hair is a great candidate for laser hair removal as well as anyone who often gets ingrown hairs when shaving. The laser is attracted to pigment and the hair so white colored hair will not be detected for the laser. However many blonde's have darker hair, may be treated in areas like the bikini and underarms. Those with very slight colored hair, white or gray, would be a better suited candidate for electrolysis or waxing. Despite various myths, those with darker skin can still receive laser hair removal treatments."
