Humans have always used clothing as a means of expression. In today's world where fashion tends to be rather limited by mass production standards, some of us may wish to reach out to different styles and unique looks of our past. In doing so, many of us turn toward the fabulous world of vintage. As they say, the classics never die, and it is easy to understand this when we look at the famed look of James Dean or Marylin Monroe. These legends are permanently etched into our collective consciousness. This retro and vintage style seems to never go out of style, and because everything older than twenty-five years is considered vintage, we now have the wonderful, hypnotic world of the 70's to explore in our vintage collection.

In this free video series, let Amber Kloss give you some tips for achieving a rockin vintage look. She gives you pointers for finding and altering vintage clothing. Amber also discusses various accessories to add to your overall vintage wardrobe. She gives tips for vintage shoes, brooches, necklaces, purses, and scarves. "Hi there! My name is Amber Kloss with Expert Village and today I am going to be covering some really fun ideas the way that you can create a modern look into a fun 50's retro kind of look and hopefully do it on a budget and some good places you can find those items. Probably all my life I have been really passionate about vintage clothing, culture and what not. It all started when my great grandmother would give me her handy downs from her old prom dresses and jewelry and purses and when I was a kid, it was just costume pieces and dress up pieces. Then as I grew older I realized that it was something really passionate about it and there are ways you can take those pieces and incorporate it into your daily life whether it is just on the weekends or special event or costume or some people like me, probably every day of the week. We are going to start out first and I am going to show you some clothing items, some staples or what not to help you create a skeleton of forming your vintage wardrobe. Whether you want a big wardrobe or a small one and I am going to give you some tips on where you can find them, affordable place where you can do it on a budget and maybe auction if you have a little more money to spend to find soe really cool retro or finer vintage pieces. So those would be some of the staples and also show you some accessories such as some jewelry, some scarves, purses, shoes. Again, I will show you some ways that you can find this on a budget and then we will move into later on some hair and makeup stuff you can do. Nothing too elaborate, some nice basics. You can create a nice simple retro look that yu can wear for daytime or evening. "
