What is Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is the process of removing the top layer of skin from the face and body for beautification. The surface layer of skin is plagued with oil, dirt and dead skin cells. Cosmetic day spas and dermatologists worldwide are performing microdermabrasion in order to refresh and repair the skin. This process is known to remove scars and dark spots, as well as repair sun-damaged skin and remove blackheads. Microdermabrasion is not a painful procedure, and is easily performed in day spas or, in some cases, at home. Different techniques of microdermabrasion include peeling, Corundum crystal machines, other crystal machines, and sandpaper or diamond-tipped devices.
