Video Transcript

"What we're going to do now is part the hair to make our first braid. And since I created my first part a little bit above, what I'm going to do is I'm going to take this first braid and curve it around the hair line, just to keep this nice, back and away. If you wanted to, you could stop it right here and braid it forward, just to have braids hanging down in the front, if you would like to do so. But what we're going to do is we're going to follow this part with our comb, and just stick the comb in right about there to go ahead and just start to curve it down. Always make sure you're really pulling the hair apart to see where the line is going to be, and just keep going. Just the hair all the way through to make sure you're getting everything on the side you want it to be. And as you can see, we've got things crisscrossing right here, so we need to run that comb through at least one more time. And just pull the hair apart, see what we've got. We've got a nice part right there. So you're going to want to gather this, grab this really, really big piece of hair and pull it tight and away because you really don't want anything from over here come over here while you're braiding."
