"We just got done rinsing off the second moisturizing shampoo and now we're getting ready to condition. Which is extremely important as I said before a hairstyle is meant to stay in there for an extended period of time. Now with the conditioner, you want to pay attention to the thickness and the amount of hair that your particular client has. She has a lot of wonderful hair, so we can use a lot of conditioner. If it's a finer hair, that's thinner, maybe not as much. Don't use too much or it's going to be too thick, really heavy and it's not going to feel good on the person. Now you're conditioning, make sure you stroke and you get in between every single crevice. Make sure all the hair is moisturized, it's very important. Also, in addition to that, make sure you rub it into the scalp. It's kind of like putting lotion on your skin. It's the same thing. Rub it really well into the scalp to prevent any type of dryness and just to make them feel good in general. Just a nice kind of massage. Don't use your finger nails. Just rub it in, get it into the scalp. Get it throughout the hair and make them feel really nice and just get that scalp good and ready to be oiled and braided."
