"Now I would like to teach you the Chinese word for "textbook", "ke ben". "Ke", you may know that. It means "class", like in "shang ke", "have a class". Also "ke" means "course", "courses". For example, "shuan ke" which means "select courses". And "ban" simply, it is "book" here. So that's why we use "ke" then, for "textbook". The character "ke", the left is the meaning part. It means "to speak". And the right is its pronunciation part. This is, then. Okay. "Ke ban", "textbook"."
