"Newpaper in Chinese is called bao zhi. Bao zhi - newspaper, and sometimes people may just say bao for bao zhi. Bao for newspaper, and also let's look at some phrases. Kan bao zhi. Du bao zhi. Both phrases mean read newspaper. Du is the Chinese word for read and kan is watch or look. We use this kan in phrases like kan di zhi - watch TV, kan di - see a movie. Here if you say read a newspaper, you can also say kan bao zhi or du bao zhi. Ok bao or bao zhi. Bao zhi - newspaper."
