"Now the first thing that you have to do when listening to criticism is accept the person's view point that is giving the criticism. Everyone has their own perception and this is this person's perception. Now does this mean that everybody feels the same way? Probably not, but allow the person who is giving the criticism to own how they feel about it. They may not have liked X,Y,Z. That's o.k. They are entitled to not like or to like whatever they want. But it?s very very important for you to take it in perspective that that is their opinion. That person feels that way about this particular situation. That's the first thing that we have to do to help us to remove ourselves from the criticism. I guess you could on some levels in some ways say it?s about them even though it?s about you because they're giving you criticism. It?s about how they feel about you."
