"Now you're ready to stand up and give your speech. And you noticed I said "stand up." You want to stand up and deliver the speech exactly as you are going to deliver it in class, or where ever it is that you are going to deliver it. Don't sit on the couch. Don't sit on the floor. Don't sit at the desk. Stand up and present it with as much enthusiasm as you will in the classroom. Don't just, you know, " Okay, I'm practicing, I'm giving my speech, whatever, whatever, whatever..." Alright? Give it with meaning. Give it just like you're going to give it, including visual aids. If you're using visual aids in your actual presentation, use them when you do your actual practice speech. It's very good for you to practice with your visual aids. It helps you with the timing. It helps the flow, helps you know how you're going to work with them and it's exactly the way you're going to do it. And that's what we're ultimately going to critique at the end here - is what didn't work and what did work. So you want to do it as authentic as possible."
