"Now let me teach you the Chinese word for crocodile "e yu". Crocodile "e yu" is a kind of fish so that's why we have this character fish here. It's "yu" and when it's used as a radical here it's a fish radical so we can understand both "e" and "yu" with this part. And the right part of "e" is its pronunciation part. On the top we have two parts like this; in Chinese it pronounces "kou" which means mouth. One mouth, two mouth here and now let's count to something in the lower part; just a one stroke. O.k. this is "yu". Remember the last stroke is the horizon tone that seems like you close the door here and that's the "yu". Let's practice an "e yu" again; two mouth from the top and this is the lower part. "E yu" crocodile."
