"Now let's come to the Chinese word for "cow" or "ox", in Chinese it is "niu". Actually, "niu" is the general word it means "cow" or "ox" in English and when you come to this character pay attention to here. This is a very long vertical stroke; don't write it like this you must put this vertical through this, through this horizontal, through this horizontal. If you write it like this, it becomes a very different word, which means "noon" so let's write "niu" again. Like in Chinese, "cow" and "ox" are different words in English and in Chinese we have "ni niu" for "cow" and "cong niu" for "ox" but when you say "niu" its o.k. People know that it's a general word for "cow" for both "cow" and "ox". O.k. "niu" remember this is a very long vertical stroke, "ox" or "cow"."
