It doesn't matter what other people say about you as a person and as a writer. It matters how you see yourself. And I know that can be argued because, yeah, you do need to have some kind of raw talent to work with. But almost anybody who can read and write a letter to grandma can write a novel. And there's probably some novelists out there that are going to not agree with that and believe that only they have this special talent to do what they do. But I'm going to use a really classic, great example and that is J.K. Rowling. She wrote some wonderful books that are beloved the world over and she's made millions and millions of dollars. Well, J.K. Rowling didn't have some special degree or some special connection or some special end that made that happen. She just had a really great idea. So that's where it starts with."
