    on 4/23/2009 I am myself a French native speaker and a language teacher and I find the quality of the videos appalling. I think that even though the students that we teach are non native speakers, there is no reason to talk to them as if they were retarded. I was looking for videos for them and I would certainly not use this one.
    It is sad to teach them that way and it is not a way to improve their oral comprehension or speaking skills.

    RESTAURANTS
    Can you recommend a restaurant? Pourriez-vous me recommander un restaurant?
    I am hungry. J’ai faim<./i>
    I am thirsty. J’ai soif.
    Where is there a coffee shop? Ou y a-t-il un café?
    I would like to make a reservation Je voudrais faire une réservation.
    I have a reservation. J’ai une réservation.
    I would like to order. Je voudrais commander.
    May I have the bill please? Pourriez-vous me porter l’addition, s’il vous plait?
    May I pay with a credit card? Prenez-vous les cartes de crédit?
    May I pay with traveler's checks? Prenez-vous les chèques de voyage?
    Waiter monsieur
    I think there is a mistake in the bill. Je crois qu’il y a une erreur.
    The food and service were excellent. Le repas et le service étaient parfait.
