"This is a lesson of how you can have the children make a booklet. It helps to get them excited about reading and it's something that they can take home with them and practice their letters. You start by writing their name on the front. Often the teachers will write Tami's book of C. On the inside all they need to do is write one C on each page. Ca, ca, ca, ca, ca, ca. And this is the very first book that they would do one with just letter on each page, then as they start knowing their letter sounds a little bit more strongly, then you can add some. Often we will put, the first one will be "ca," the next one will be "aah," the next one will be "ta," and then we ask them if you put them all together, what does it say. And then this is a booklet that they can create on their own, and they can take home. It's just half sheets of paper folded in half, and then you can staple it if you'd like."
