Now I'm going to show you how to present odds and evens. First just start by taking the numerals out and line in the bottom. Once you have that done ask the child to assist you in ordering them. One. Make sure you put your hand between to save space. Two, three, nine. Now have them put the counters under the numerals. This is one. This is one. This is two. One, two. This is two. This is four. One, two, three, four. You always continue doing the rest. But for this purpose I'm just stop now show you how to show them the difference between odds and evens. This one does not have a partner, so it is odd. This one does have a partner, so it is even. This one does not, so that one is odd. This one does have a partner, so it is even. And you continue doing that until you are done.
