"This is the tens boards with beads. By now the children already know that this is ten. Ten. This is ten. Ten. Twenty. This is twenty. This is twenty. Thirty. Ten, twenty, thirty. This is thirty. This is thirty. Forty. Ten, twenty, thirty, forty. This is forty. This is forty. Fifty. Ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty. This is fifty. This is fifty. Sixty. Ten, twenty, thirty, forty, fifty, sixty. This is sixty. This is sixty. You keep going. This is seventy, etc. You keep going until you're completely done. When you're done the children can see that ninety, which would be nine ten bars across here, is so much more than the tens. When you put them back make sure you always take back one at a time."
