"Alright, the next thing that we have to do, is self affirmations. And when I'm talking about self affirmations, I'm talking about positive things that you tell yourself. You have to tell yourself, I'm an okay speaker. I'm a pretty good speaker. I actually have some good characteristics that will come through in my speech. There are good things about me as a speaker. There are a lot of different things that you can tell yourself, because if you believe that you are confident, if you believe that you are good, the audience will perceive you as being confident and good. So, you have to continue to tell yourself, I can do this, I'm a good speaker. And you have to do it to the point of, even if you don't believe it. You have to continually tell yourself over and over about what you're good at, what your good attributes are, how good your speech is going to be. We call it fake it till you make it. Keep telling yourself these positive things over and over, and eventually you'll believe them. As soon as you believe them, your audience will believe them."
