Video Transcript

"Another thing that you want to do when you are trying to project confidence as a speaker is stick with your conviction. This partly comes in the writing, but it also comes in the presentation. Sticking with your convictions means staying with whatever you're talking about; whatever you believe, regardless of what happens. Be confident of your choice; be confident in your values. Let's say you're doing a speech about why people should be vegetarians, because the slaughtering of animals is cruel. Be confident in that choice, be passionate about that choice. Even if the feedback you get from the audience shows disagreement, you must stick with your convictions, because if you wax and wane, you won't look very confident."
