"Hi I'm Karen for Expert Village now we are going to see what happens when we put the lid on the canister. The canister is full half with vinegar and on the lid we have taped a little package of baking soda. I going to ask Vince now to put it on the canister and then flip the canister over but it is very important to have your goggles on when you do this experiment and don't let your face to be to close to the canister when you flip it over. Are you ready Vince? Yeah. Okay now put the lid on first check and make sure that the wade is on there nice and tight so it doesn't fall into the vinegar to early and then put it on very carefully. Pop that on nice and tight. Now when I say 1,2,3. That was a great explosion way to go. The vinegar is a acidic and the baking soda is alkaline when you mix them together it produces a chemical reaction. Carbon dioxide gas is produce by the reaction as more and more gas is produce the pressure and the film canister builds up until the lid pops off. "
