"Hi, I'm Ann Kennedy on behalf of Expert Village, and we'll be looking at how to teach a child to read using big books and read alouds. Demonstrating book read alouds. We've learned a great deal. Now I'm going to demonstrate how we put it all together. And as you're watching, think about what you've learned and why I'm doing certain strategies. This book today is called Me Too, that's the title of our book by Mercer Mayer, she's the author. What a fun looking picture. I wonder if they're real animals? What do you think? It looks to me as if she's crying, I wonder why? Let's look at the back and see if we can find anything else. Oops, there's nothing on the back to give us clues or ideas. Let's go back to the front and try to figure it out. Can you see other things in the picture that may make you guess what the book is about? Can you predict certain things? It looks to me as though the book will take place maybe in the summer time or spring because he has a baseball. What do you think?"
