The Euro is common in 12 states of the European union, so if you would like to cross the border and go to France or Italy or Austria, they all have the same currency rate which really makes traveling more convenient and easy. Lets pretend you’re in a bank and you want to exchange a 100 bill into Euros, you would say “Ich mochte gerne 100 Dollare in Euro umtauschen.” In English, I would like to exchange $100 into Euros. Once again in German, “Ich mochte gerne 100 Dollare in Euro umtauschen.” If you would have travelers checks and you would want to get Euros for it, you would say, “Ich mochte gerne Bageld fuer diesen Scheck haben.” I would like to cash this check. In German, “Ich mochte gerne Bageld fuer diesen Scheck haben.”"
