"MAAD is actually in every small town and large metropolitan area in the United States. We go through and we work with communities. We actually have volunteers. We're a kind of a membership organization, as it goes, to where we have people that are members that support us throughout the year. We go in and help them, they help us as well, with court monitoring. They help us with different things in the community, the fund-raising that goes in and helps support us with our programs. And all the different things that we do throughout the year, supporting law enforcement, going in and working with the victims and their families, working with chaplains at hospitals that in many instances, are the first points of contact for these families that are going through crashes actually happened to their family members, or injuries that have happened to their family members. We go in and we work with different groups to come in and try and build partnerships. We work with the court systems, we work with law enforcement, we work with other advocacy groups, we work with counseling organizations. All come together to keep a focus of trying to help prevent drunk driving and to support the victims of this violent crime. We go through and we try and do what we can, but we need support from the community. We of course offer different venues that we do throughout there, with special events to raise funds, but we also are very heavily supported by individual contributions that people make as well. "
