"Hi I'm Linda Leon with Expert Village and I've been working with children for a very long time. Today we're going to be giving examples of how to pass your faith onto your children. And it's so simple when you just take the time to think things through and know that you want your children to have some good things stored up in their heart. One of the things we've done with our children along the years is to get them little art kids where they can paint things. These are little stained glass art kits. This one happens to be a dolphin. Here is another one that my daughter painted years ago which is an object of a cross with some flowers on the side of it. But these things are excellent for children on many types of days especially rainy days when they're stuck in the house and they don't have a lot to do. If you keep some of these stained glass art handy and allow them to paint when they are having their down time, or any other time would be good also, you would be amazed at how much they fall in love with the word of God over that. Say for example, going back to my dolphin here, well this little object can be used to tell a story about creation about how God created all the mammals in the world. You might have them paint this and then focus on the fact that God created mammals. The one that my daughter did here years ago. We did this around Easter time. So, of course we talked about the cross, and the importance of the cross. But, you can also use this to tell the Christmas story because without the birth of Christ there would be no Easter. So, any time you get an object like this don't just let it be something that you allow your child to paint. Always tie in something Biblical with it. The object is fine but putting the message in their heart is even better. So be sure to do things like this. You can go to various stores and buy these. They are not very expensive. And, they are well worth the investment because your children are going to learn and remember. And then they are going to be so proud of their art work. And you can hang these around your house. I like to keep mine by the windows in my home and they've been there, some of them for years. So always take the time to invest in simple art projects with your children. It goes a very long way and I'm Linda Leon with Expert Village."
