Series Summary

There is some small debate about the origins of the Tarot Deck. Many relevant sources mention the introduction of Tarot Cards to Europe in the 14th and 15th centuries from Egypt. It is the major arcane, the trump or picture cards, that most people associate with Tarot and divination. Standard playing cards originate from the other half of the first Tarot decks, the minor arcane. Divination became a popular phenomenon in Medieval culture, with the Church playing a smaller role in persecution than many believe. Other supernatural practices, like channeling and “charming” (removing warts or diseases with short verses or potions), were common, everyday occurrences.

In this free video series, expert Tarot reader Marybeth Murphy describes and explains each of the tarot cards in order. You will learn the meaning of each Tarot card, from both the major and minor arcana, guaranteed. Marybeth tells you about the cups, coins, swords, and wands that have led to the traditional suits. She also covers the Empress, World, Judgment, Lovers, Hanged Man, and Moon cards. And there's more. Each tarot card is given its explanation. Tune it and check this out.

"Hi, you're watching Expert Village. I'm your host for arts and crafts and everything fun. I'm Grace Fraga from Fraga Framing and Art Gallery. You can check me out at fragaframeart.com and I have a great guest today, I'm so excited. Mary Bet Murphy, how are you doing? Good. I am so thrilled that you're here today because you're a spiritual coach. And you also do tarot and angel card readings. Which oh my God you guys are going to learn how to do that and it's going to be so much fun, there's going to be a lot of crying. (Well hopefully not too much crying) But you know what it is is that everyone looks at it as such as oooh tarot and scary and it's not. It's all just bringing out the good information, this just a virago and everybody can do it. This is not anything you don't need to go to a special class or you know have special powers and everyone can do this. Everyone has a 6th sense and it's rather or not you pay attention to this and it's like if you want to build your 6th sense. It's like if you want to build your bicep you work out your bicep. If you want to build your 6th sense, your intuition, you work that out and there's lots of classes in any of the area in the country that you can go do that. Fantastic and you're going to teach us how to read tarot cards and angel cards? Great, I can't wait to do that, so stay turned because Marybeth will teach us how to do it ourselves. "
