"In this clip we're going to talk about how to pick a location for your convention. Depending on the size, depending on the target audience, it's going to depend on where you pick to hold your event. One thing you want to do is try to get some expectation on the number of people who you think are to attend. In my particular case, I anticipated maybe three or four or five hundred people. So in my case I was looking for a hotel, something that had ballrooms, convention areas, places where I could set up vendors, places where I could have guest speakers. Larger conventions, those that are perhaps over a thousand or more probably want to go to a convention center and there are many of those all up and down the country. But pick your target based on what you anticipate the volume of people coming through will be. If you're picking a hotel, look at several hotels. Take many things into consideration, parking, space. If you're going to pick a convention center, find something that's affordable and can accommodate everyone."
