"Hi I'm Albert Hedgepeth with Expert Village and we're going to talk a little bit about basic tailoring. As you can see right now, we're kind of blocking the boat slip here, and this is important, because there is nothing worse than someone who doesn't understand boating etiquette. And how to pull the trailer up, how to launch the boat and how to stay out of other people's way. Whenever you pull up to trailer area or a launching boat ramp, look around you and notice first of all who's in line. If there are people in line don't pull your trailer in. in front of them. If you've waited through the line and unless you're by yourself, it's important to go ahead back your trailer into the water, have someone else pull the boat up on the trailer and to immediately pull away from the ramp area so that other people can access the ramp and you aren't in the way. If you're by yourself, it's not as important, because people understand that you're dealing with the boat and the trailer by yourself. So tying your boat off at the dock while you're alone is acceptable. Otherwise it's very courteous to go ahead and have someone else take the boat away from the dock while you're getting the trailer from the parking lot and backing it down. And then the person on the boat drives the boat drives the boat onto the trailer. Then you go ahead and pull clear out of the way before you do any maintenance on the trailer. Again blocking the ramps, jumping in line and leaving your boat tied up to the dock with people on it while you're getting the trailer are very inappropriate things to do while you're out and enjoying the outdoors."
