"Hi, I am Albert Headsmith with Expert Village. We are going to talk a little bit about basic trailer. Now, we are going to talk a little bit about hand signals. If you are driving a smaller trailer without an electrical system it is important to know your basic hand signals. These are just like biking hand signals. When ever you put your hand down, at a right angle in your arm that signals that you are stopping, that means you are actually getting ready to come to a halt. Whenever your arm is up at a right angle that means you are getting ready to make a right turn. Whenever your arm is out past your body straight out that means that you are making a left turn. Whenever you are wanting to have a car come around you, you can go ahead and give a full circle. Understanding these symbols not only protect the drivers that are around you, but gives you an option for whenever you are pulling a trailer without lights or if your lights actually go out. So you want to understand these basics just to make sure everyone around you is safe."
