"Hi, I am Albert Headsmith with expert village. We are going to talk a little bit about basic tailoring. Right now what we are going to explore is actually how to hook up the trailer to the vehicle. The first thing that you are going to want to do is to go ahead and back up the vehicle, and have it centered over the actual ball on the mount of the rear of the truck. Then you are going to go ahead and crank down the jack until it is actually exceeded over top of the ball. Most of the time if you backed it up correctly it will go ahead and drop right onto the ball. If not you might have to step up on the back of the truck and Jimmy it a little bit but usually it will go right on. Once you get that taken care of and it is actually seated, next thing you can do is go ahead and hook your electrical system. Go ahead and plug that into the jack that is already on the back of the truck then you are going to want to go ahead and lock the ball into the trailer and you are going to do this by pulling back the locking mechanism if it is actually ever stuck an easy way to get it unstuck is to pull the truck forward just a little bit, once it is actually seated onto the ball. Once you get that locked you are going to go ahead and put in the corner pin, this one is being difficult. Then you are going to hook your safety chains. With safety chains you want to cross them from one side to the other, so that the right chain on the trailer goes to the left side of the truck and vise versa. Once those are hooked in you want to go ahead and hook in your emergency stop and then you are ready to drive off."
